DEUS 3100 – NFPA-rated for 100 ft descents, the 3100 is designed for firefighter bailout and rescue.
DEUS 3200 – NFPA-rated for 200 ft descents, the black and silent 3200 is designed for military and law enforcement use, particularly for tactical descent and rescue.
DEUS 3300 – NFPA-rated for 330 ft descents, the 3300 is designed for wind towers, but it’s also useful in a variety of high tower applications for escape and rescue.
DEUS 3700 – ANSI- and NFP-rated for 500 ft descents, the 3700 is designed for industrial and commercial escape, self-rescue after a fall and assisted rescue.
DEUS 7000 Series
DEUS 7000 Series devices are larger, beefier systems providing automatic controlled descent. All are built for all day, everyday operation over long vertical distance (up to 1000 ft). This makes the 7000 Series ideal for a variety of repetitive use situations: evacuation of multiple people, back-up belay for training or rescue, challenge course elements and activities, and more. All feature an incredibly simple operation with the safety and reliability you expect from DEUS Rescue.
Like the 3000 Series, every device in the DEUS 7000 Series is designed for a particular set of markets and applications:
DEUS 7300 – NFPA-rated, the 7300 is designed as an automatic back-up belay to your primary rescue system for training or rescue.
DEUS 7500 – the NFPA-rated 7500 is designed for challenge courses, for automatic safety belay and in exciting new high element activities.
DEUS 7550 – the 7550 is NFPA-rated and designed for use as a brake and a down-elevator at the end of zip-lines.
DEUS 7800 – NFPA-rated, the DEUS 7800 is designed for the rapid descent of multiple people during evacuation from height.

Hands-Free Operation
Turn the oversize control knob on the front of a DEUS Vertical Rescue System to set the amount of braking force in the drum brake and let go. The drum brake applies infinitely variable hands-free braking over its entire 360-degree range. No other system is hands-free in both “stop” and “go” modes.
Quadruple-Redundant Safety
DEUS systems are made with a variety of different brake types and configurations. DEUS 3000 Series devices for individual use all have four redundant brakes for the ultimate in flexibility, control and safety – a hands-free disk-actuated drum brake, an always-active centrifugal brake, a modified figure-8 with continuously variable load-dependent engagement, and a manual rope-tailing brake for precise control.
Protection from Free-Fall
An always-active centrifugal brake limits descent at full load to a safe speed to guard against free fall.
“Away-from-Rope” Braking
Two of the brakes in DEUS Vertical Rescue Systems – the disk-actuated drum brake and the centrifugal brake – do their braking “away from the rope.” This prevents damage to the rope by minimizing excessive heat and mechanical damage. Simple “rope friction” brakes found in other descent devices create severe thermal and mechanical stress in the rope that can result in sudden rope failure in extreme conditions.
Quick, Easy and Foolproof Operation
Carry your DEUS system pre-rigged. When descent is necessary in a high-stress situation, attach an anchor and go. Done. There is simply no faster or more foolproof way to get down – and you can stop or change speed by turning the control knob (on certain systems).
Tough Construction
DEUS systems are tough enough to stand up to the use and abuse of the real world. The case is machined aircraft-grade aluminum; brakes are stainless steel and brass; critical load-bearing parts are titanium. Many systems from other manufacturers are inferior cast or stamped sheet metal.
Designed for Repeated Use
Because you can easily switch out ropes in a matter of seconds, DEUS Vertical Rescue Systems are designed to be used over and over again for both training and emergency use. Keep one DEUS rope specifically for frequent and repetitive training (backup belay is always recommended). When the training-dedicated rope wears out, replace it. Carry appropriate DEUS technical ropes and various lengths for work (see individual system specs).
Protection from Shock-Loading
DEUS Vertical Rescue Systems are designed to slip when loaded above 600 lbs and to grip when the load falls back to less than 600 lbs. This helps minimize shock loading on the equipment and the user. Note that shock-loading any descent system should be avoided.
Pocket-Sized and Lightweight Design
A personal controlled-descent device is only useful for bailout, escape, rescue or tactical positioning when it is with you all the time. That will only happen if it is small enough and light enough not to be a hindrance. It also doesn't hurt if it is cool. DEUS systems fit in your pocket and weigh about 1 kg.
Amazing Versatility
Use DEUS systems, available in a variety of kits, for a wide range of situations. Different kits are configured to provide the tools you need for multiple escape, rescue and training situations - rapid sequential evacuations, self-rescue after a fall, assisted rescue after a fall, over-the-edge rescue, lift-and-lower rescue, 2-person assisted descent, confined-space rescue, long-lift rescue, or suspended cross-hauling, and more. Plus, many DEUS Kits can be used for work positioning and travel restraint.
